Nic Claxton is one of the Brooklyn Nets' most prized young players. He not only has Defensive Player of the Year potential, but he possesses a unique swag. The latter claim is not baseless, as the Nets provided evidence of Claxton's "aura" on social media in late August. This article's cover image only helps the young center's case, as he looks like a menacing "Batman" character. Nevertheless, here is the thread of photos the Nets thought made Claxton look cool, via the team's X (formerly Twitter) page:
Photos of Clax with increasing aura

A thread 🧵 pic.twitter.com/LGWVkzvStL
The thread contains photos of Claxton both on and off the court. Three photos immediately stood out: the first one with him holding the basketball as if he were a philosopher, the one where he is wearing a coat with his hoodie inside of an arena, and one where he has his face mask on solemnly closing his eyes before a game.
Furthermore, the Nets gave fans a taste of Claxton's sense of style. One photo showed Claxton walking into an arena with what appeared to be a green long-sleeve made of unique material. He also sported a type of sleeveless wool shirt in one of his pregame arrivals. Finally, Claxton gave fans an "aura" finisher by posing in a sports jacket while intently staring into the camera.
Can Nic Claxton unlock more aura on the court?
Claxton has seen incredible growth during his time with the Nets. He joined Brooklyn in 2018 when the team selected him as their 31st pick in the second round of the draft. He built a solid foundation during his first three years before experiencing a breakout.
During the 2022-23 season, Claxton averaged a career-high 12.6 points and 2.5 blocks along with 9.2 rebounds per game. He remained stout for Brooklyn in 2023-24, averaging 11.8 points, a career-best 9.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks.
Claxton's defensive versality makes him one of the most valuable young centers in the league. In addition to his incredible photogenic abilities, the Nets are hoping he can make more improvement on the court during the 2024-25 season. His NBA 2K25 roster rating might provide him more motivation, given his overall was lower than expected.
It will be exciting to watch Claxton make more memorable moments as he approaches his sixth year in Brooklyn.
