The Brooklyn Nets will enter the 2024-25 NBA season with a lot to prove, as they lost star power during the offseason with the Mikal Bridges-Knicks trade. Brooklyn's roster is filled with young, high-upside players who are ready to help the team take the next step in their development. A lack of bonafide stars means NBA 2K will not be very generous with players' ratings. Without further ado, here is the complete list of the Nets' NBA 2k25 roster ratings.
Brooklyn's team overall is a 78, which is the lowest rating of all teams in the game, according to 2kratings.com. Brooklyn is considered a "Tier 3" team with its biggest strength being "potential" at 81 and its major weakness being "playmaking" at 57.

First impressions of Nets' 2K25 roster ratings
As seen, Nicolas Claxton and Cam Thomas are the team's highest-rating players, and it makes sense given their 2023-24 performances. Thomas led the Nets in scoring with 22.5 points per game, while Claxton continued to show his value as one of the top two-way interior bigs, nearly averaging a double-double and 2.1 blocks per game.
It was also no surprise to see Cameron Johnson and Dennis Schroder as two of the highest players as well, given their valuable veteran experience. Johnson is rumored to be a trade target but remains on the roster in late August. Moreover, while Schroder could be moved, he expressed a desire tostay in Brooklyn long-term.
Another key player who stands out on Brooklyn's roster ratings is Ben Simmons. Simmons has not played at the level he once did, so his lower rating of 76 is understandable. Yet, he is a true X-factor that can make or break the Nets during the 2024-25 season. Simmons' "2-Way Slashing Playmaker" archetype rings true, as he remains a defensive menace who is a transition force and excels at getting his teammates the ball.
One of the biggest takeaways of Brooklyn's roster ratings is they have plenty of players with high potential. It will be no ruspise to see at least half of the Nets' players' overalls increase by the end of the 2024-25 NBA season.
