Brooklyn hasn’t added an All-Star representative since former stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant made the game in 2023. Rather than sulk in the present Nets tank, All-Star buzz creates the perfect pause for an all-time discussion: Who are the best NBA All-Stars in franchise history?
5. Kevin Durant
Durant made three-straight All-Star appearances in Brooklyn from 2021-2023 before a blockbuster trade that sent the all-time great to Phoenix.
Some might argue against his position on this list considering how his tenure unceremoniously ended after the Nets’ failed super team attempt, but there’s no denying the two-time Finals MVP as one of the most unguardable players in the history of basketball.
4. Brook Lopez
In 2013, Lopez made his first and only All-Star Game averaging 19.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.1 blocks with the Nets, flourishing as one of the most efficient offensive centers in the league at the time. Brooklyn went 49-33, finished second in the NBA Atlantic Division and made the playoffs that season with its franchise-leading scorer as an all-reliable anchor.

3. Buck Williams
Three-time All-Star Buck Williams’ No. 52 hangs in the Barclays Center rafters for good reason. Known most for his relentless rebounding and defensive prowess, Williams was a dominant force for the Nets through the 1980s as one of the decade’s premier power forwards and became the franchise’s first-ever All-Star selection following the ABA-NBA merger.
2. Vince Carter
Carter also made three All-Star appearances while wearing a Nets uniform, consecutively from 2005-2007, leaving an electrifying Nets legacy that made it easy for Brooklyn to retire his No. 15 jersey earlier this month. Carter averaged 23.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists through five seasons with the Nets, also notching the franchise’s second-best playoff scoring mark (26 PPG) that flashed during a pair of runs to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
1. Jason Kidd
Kidd, a five-time All-Star with the Nets (2002, 2003, 2004, 2007 & 2008), tops this list without question. Following his first All-Star selection in New Jersey, Kidd helped lead the franchise to back-to-back NBA Finals, solidifying himself as one of the league’s best point guards and an all-time Nets great.
Even years later when he returned to the All-Star Game in 2007, Kidd nearly started to average a triple-double (the closest he came in an All-Star season was 2008 posting 11.3 points, 10.4 assists and 8.1 rebounds per game).

Who should’ve cracked the list?
